Winter holiday at Lake Tegernsee
cozy & uplifting
Ski touring, snowshoeing and winter sports
When the mountains around Lake Tegernsee are covered in snow in winter, a varied world of active holiday experiences opens up. In addition to skiing, ski touring, snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing and sledding are among the ways to experience the region in the cold season. On request, Egerner Höfe will be happy to assist you in organising suitable activities and customised tours.
Guided ski tours and snowshoe hikes
In cooperation with Skisportlerei Tegernsee, hotel guests can book a personal ski guide. The experienced guides create individual tours tailored to guests’ abilities and personal wishes. Possible touring areas include Sutten, Sonnenbichl and Hirschberg.
The offer is aimed at both beginners and advanced participants. The tours take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The Tegernsee Valley offers an extensive network of trails with varying difficulty levels across more than 100 kilometres of cross-country ski trails. The trails extend through Rottach-Egern, Gmund, Kreuth and Bad Wiessee and are suitable for both relaxed outings and more demanding sporting tours.

Skiing at Lake Tegernsee
Blue skies, powder snow and a perfectly groomed slope with breathtaking views – that is all you need for a dream ski holiday. For your introduction to ski touring, we recommend Skisportlerei Tegernsee. Whether with a private guide or in a friendly group, you will be in the best hands here. Equipment rental included.
The ski area at Spitzingsee is one of the best-known ski resorts in the Tegernsee-Schliersee region and offers varied slopes for beginners and advanced skiers. It is easily accessible from the Rottach side via the Sutten chairlift. Thanks to its altitude, the area offers good winter sports conditions when snow levels are suitable.
The slopes on Hirschberg in Kreuth are ideal for young skiers. Together with the Tegernsee ski school, children learn to ski here with lots of fun and in a safe environment.
