Insiders know that Lake Tegernsee is often the scene of international regattas and a challenging sailing area in some conditions. Sailing enthusiasts appreciate the south wind that blows constantly from Egern Bay up to Gmund in the morning. On some days in summer, it reaches wind forces of between two and four Beaufort. This is one reason why sailing in front of Tegernsee's dream scenery is so much fun. Private motorboats are prohibited, by the way, another good reason for the many sailing boats on the lake.

Sailing has always been a dream of yours? At the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe, it can become reality during your summer sailing holiday! To make sure that no wish remains unfulfilled, we work together with our cooperation partner, Sailingcenter Tegernsee. We will gladly organise a private lesson with a skipper or a comprehensive starter and beginner course for you. Gain experience and practical sailing knowledge during your holiday at Lake Tegernsee. To crown your perfect sailing holiday, you can also obtain your sailing licence through our partner. Would you like to deepen your skills and dive even deeper into the fascinating world of wind and water? No problem! Our partner also has the right sailing school offers for advanced sailors. An experienced skipper will take you on a relaxed trip across Lake Tegernsee. If you would like to sail yourself, you will be given the helm under expert guidance. During a two-hour sailing trip, our guests can either actively join in the sailing or simply enjoy the summer on the crystal-clear Alpine lake. Fresh air makes people hungry, as we all know. Why not take a gourmet picnic basket on board? Exclusively put together by our kitchen team around chef Matthias Beck, order our Egerner Höfe gourmet picnic hamper to take away. Sailing and water sports: variety on the lake
With the numerous water sports on offer, everyone is guaranteed to find their favourite activity. In addition to ambitious sailors, windsurfers or children and young people who want to get a taste of sailing will also find many offers and guaranteed lots of fun. Wingfoiling is a newer, popular surf discipline that combines kitesurfing, windsurfing, surfing, and foiling. With wingfoiling, you will glide or float over the water with a wingfoil board and a wing. Are you interested in the trendy sport of stand-up paddling, or 'SUP' for short? As a guest of the Parkhotel Egerner Höfe you can easily get onto the paddleboards. Our partner Sailingcenter Tegernsee offers a wide range of courses for our guests:
beginners' courses for the perfect introduction to the trend sport of SUP, SUP yoga or private lessons for your personal start on the paddleboard. After just a few hours, you can relax and enjoy the lake from a completely different perspective. SUP fans who arrive without their board can rent all the equipment at the Sailing Centre.
