The annual Lake Tegernsee Mountain Bike Festival takes place in June and represents more than just a sportive challenge. The number of its fans from leisurely to professional bikers is growing rapidly. Starting out with a mere 300 participants, the festival welcomed more than 1,200 contestants from all over Germany and neighbouring countries last year. A choice between various different routes means that participants of all levels from amateur to pro will  find what they are looking for on stunning tracks along the crystal-clear lake and among glorious Alpine panoramas.

The Tegernsee Cricket Club (TCC), founded in 2000 as an offshoot of the Tegernsee Gymnastics Club, now boasts a men’s, a ladies’ and a junior team. Many a national cricket team player has emerged from this club, whose home patch is the Tegernsee peninsula called ‘Point’. Still a niche sport in Germany, cricket is nevertheless growing increasingly popular. The Park-Hotel Egerner Höfe is proud to support the current team in its national league efforts.

Committed to the preservation and celebration of the Bavarian language, music and cultural memory, the Arts and Culture Association Rottach-Egern also aims to promote emerging artists in the region and to give them greater exposure.
