Georg Plasa tödlich verunglückt

Georg Plasa ist am Sonntag, den 10. Juli 2011 bei dem Bergrennen von Rieti tödlich verunglückt. In einer schnellen Rechtskurve kam der BMW 134Judd von der Piste ab und prallte gegen eine Felswand. Georg Plasa verstarb auf dem Weg ins Krankenhaus.

Wir sind alle zutiefst betroffen. Wir haben einen liebenswerten Partner und Menschen verloren. Unser Mitgefühl gilt allen Hinterbliebenen.

Georg died on Sunday, 10th July 2011 while his BMW 134Judd crashed into a wall in a very fast right turn at around 14:45 local time. Finally his last moments were in helicopter transit to hospital. No technical defects were detected, so it is assumed to be a race accident without outside interference.

From my point of view, I can only be glad that I met Georg Plasa as a true friend and will try to keep his way of living and thinking in my mind and heart. He did his way, made his life and died in a race situation, the way he would have chosen.

I can’t imagine the relationship you had to Georg, but for all of us I have these words: We live and good guy left us. Sad, but true.
